The Steel City Pizza General Manager will be responsible for day-to-day restaurant operations, development and maintenance of a strong team, sales building, budgeting, cost control, accountability, and maintaining a positive company culture.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and develop a diverse team of employees.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
- Recognize and reward great performance.
- Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- In partnership with Human Resources, handle discipline and counseling of employees.
- Conduct performance reviews that are timely and constructive.
- Train staff on proper safety procedures and maintain documentation for health inspections.
- Create a great work environment and have fun!
Operational Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the restaurant.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various areas, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and customer service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both employees and guests.
- Monitor inventory levels, track food costs, and implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and quality control.
- Maintain a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain SCP processes to enhance the overall dining experience and promote repeat business.
- Understand financial performance, review financial statements, and support strategies to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and sanitation standards.
- Local travel to HQ office and any restaurant location as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience as a shift leader, trainer, or assistant manager in the hospitality industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of corporate training program required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food Handling ServSafe Certification (not required -will provide if the candidate is qualified otherwise)
- TiPS Alcohol Service Certification (not required - will provide if the candidate is qualified otherwise)
- A.S./B.S. in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or another relevant field.
Physical demands:
- Ability to traverse all parts of the restaurant quickly.
- Prolonged periods sitting and working at a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, or twisting.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
