Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in managing the financial health of our organization, ensuring precise reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities :

  • General Ledger Management : Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting : Partner with leadership to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight : Oversee the timely processing and reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable. Participate in the receivable collection process.
  • Audit Preparation : Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and taxation requirements.
  • Cost Accounting : Track and report on costs associated with capital projects, operational expenses, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with cost accounting and budget management is highly desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards in the electric or utility industry is a plus.
