Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing daily financial operations and contributing to month-end processes, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and producing monthly financial reports. Collaborating closely with the finance team, this role supports both routine and specialized reporting initiatives. Leveraging extensive accounting expertise and a strong grasp of company practices, the Senior Accountant will execute complex accounting tasks and financial analyses. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, a quick learner, and an effective communicator with excellent verbal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with recording financial transactions into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Assist with monthly standard and adjusting entries, including deferred revenue, accruals and reconciliations.
• Responsibilities will include all aspects of the General Ledger, including Accounts Receivable/Payable, accounting/reconciling cash, fixed/intangible assets, intercompany reconciliations, and various other financial support projects as needed.
• Conduct monthly account analysis to ensure accurate and complete reporting.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist external auditors as required.
• Responsible for payroll and sales tax filings for a growing company.
• Assist with data for income tax filings.
• Other duties as determined that will support the business and further develop your skill set.

Education, Experience, and Skills

• A minimum 6+ years of experience in Finance and/or Corporate accounting roles.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Accounting designation or working towards one is preferred.
• Sage Intacct and Avalara experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot tables, v-lookups and formulas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial/accounting principles and experience with foreign currency transactions.
• Strong analytical skills; able to collect, analyze and summarize data.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities, working accurately and proficiently in a deadline driven and fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent time management skills and success in consistently meeting deadlines. Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve results.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
