Job Description

SKYE MEP is seeking a licensed Senior Mechanical Engineer for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will excel in designing mechanical/HVAC systems and serve as the primary point of contact for clients in a project management role. This leadership position involves overseeing the entire Mechanical Department, mentoring and guiding junior engineers, and reviewing their work.

Projects will span various sectors, including Commercial, K-12, Higher Education, Healthcare, Historic Preservation, Light Industrial, and Design-Build. The successful candidate should be prepared for project management, construction cost estimating, specification writing, submittal reviews, reviewing pay applications, and significant client interaction. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Electrical, Plumbing, Architecture, Structural, and Civil professionals, are essential.. 

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

· Licensed to practice engineering in the State of Texas

· 10+ years of experience in HVAC system design

· Familiar with the most recent Building & Mechanical codes (ICC Code body)

· 5 years of experience with AutoCAD and REVIT software

· Current valid Driver License and insurable driving record

· Professional appearance and excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experienced in project management

· Experienced in Plumbing design

· LEED Certified for Building Design and Construction

· Commissioning experience
