Job Description

Overview:

From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, the Ortho Central Ambulatory Surgery Center is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes four orthopedic surgeons, a sports medicine physician, bone health experts, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists.

Our skilled providers can treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is open Monday through Friday to meet our patient’s needs

Responsibilities:
  • Provides for a sterile environment.
  • Prepares for procedure.
  • Assists the physician to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient and staff.
  • Responsible for personal continuing education and professional practice.
Qualifications:

Education

  • Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program, achieved national certification in surgical technology preferred, or five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech.
  • Cath lab: RCIS certification preferred.

Experience

  • Must have completed accredited Surgical Technology program, or must have five (5) consecutive years training/experience as a surgical tech, or LPN with one (1) year surgical tech preferred.
  • National Certification is highly preferred. 

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

 

Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation ETC

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained for duration of employment.
  • If Certified Surgical Technologist must have current certification.
  • Current Oklahoma LPN license required, if applicable.
  • Cath lab: ALS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout duration of employment.

Compensation/Benefits

  • $19.56-$31.94/hr depending on previous work experience.
