Job Opportunity: Board Certified/Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon

Location: Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV 25704

We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Vascular Surgeon to provide top-tier vascular care, ensuring excellence in patient treatment and adherence to the highest medical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site vascular surgery services in accordance with the American College of Surgeons Guidelines .
• Perform a range of vascular procedures, including angiographic and endovascular interventions.
• Manage direct patient care (95% of the role) , including surgical procedures, admissions, discharges, and follow-ups.
• Conduct preoperative and postoperative evaluations and consultations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including residents and other specialists.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families.
• Oversee the administration of moderate sedation when required.
• Mentor and provide training to medical residents.
• Provide consultative services and guidance to referring physicians to ensure the best course of treatment.
• Participate in scheduled clinics, operating room procedures, and off-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Vascular Surgery.
• Active DEA registration and National Provider ID (NPI) .
• Current ACLS/BLS certifications .
• Minimum of two years of recent experience performing vascular procedures.
• Fluent in English (spoken, written, and comprehension).
• Commitment to upholding VA Rules and Regulations regarding patient care and clinical standards.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Clinic hours and OR procedures will be scheduled within this timeframe.)
• On-call duties during weeknights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Response time expectations: Phone consultation within 15 minutes and on-site presence within 60 minutes if necessary.
